Hunters Hill is a suburb situated on a small peninsula that separates the Lane Cove and Parramatta Rivers. It is found on the Lower North Shore and Northern Suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

History of Hunters Hill

The Aboriginal name of the area is 'Mookaboola' or 'Moocooboola', which means meeting of waters. 

Hunters Hill was named after John Hunter, the second Governor of New South Wales, who found the area when he charted Sydney Harbour in January and February 1788.
